Our story

Austėja and Laurita – a friendship lasting 15 years that became the foundation of KOMMON.

When 15-year-old Austėja came from Utena to play basketball for a girls’ team in Vilnius, Laurita was the first to say “hello” to her at practice. The friends found many similarities then, and now, under the KOMMON name, they invite others to look for what connects us as people, what we have in kommon.

KOMMON Social Wellness Club offers a space where different activities bring different people together. Some gatherings calm and ground you. Others inspire and bring you closer. From yoga classes and coffee tastings to events and business breakfasts, we create every experience so that it brings maximum value to You: better well-being, new experiences, and long-lasting connections and friendships.

Here, yoga classes continue as conversations in the streets of the Old Town, flavours discovered during a coffee tasting become a shared topic of conversation with other club members, and people met at events become colleagues, partners, or friends.

We do not create an image.
We create an experience that creates IT.

We work for You and because of You.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Balance, not extremes.
Sustainability, not temporariness.

We do not create an image.
We create an experience that creates it.

We create a space where we look for similarities, not differences.

You will meet me at KOMMON yoga classes and coffee tastings.

I began practising yoga and meditation in 2016 while studying Political Science, I was looking for a way to take a breath from intensive studies and constant work at the computer. Over time, I gained enough experience to start sharing my knowledge with others. I completed my yoga teacher training course (200 RYT) in India, in the authentic surroundings of the Himalayas, at the classical yoga school World Peace Yoga. I am also a certified Meditation Therapy and Yoga Nidra instructor (100 RYT). I mastered more than 10 meditation techniques during Meditation Therapy instructor training at Mahabodhi Academy.

Before that, I played basketball for 10 years. I graduated from three basketball schools, was a member of various teams, and achieved both individual and team victories. At first glance, basketball and yoga may seem completely unrelated, but I find many similarities between them: discipline, structure, consistent effort, and the benefits of daily movement.

I see speciality coffee not only as a drink made from coffee beans, but also through the lens of yoga: as a mindful ritual. It is often said that yogis avoid coffee. I believe that, as with everything, what matters most is balance and the ability to listen to your body.

Wanting to get to know the subtleties of coffee more closely, I dared to exchange office work and home barista knowledge for the professional world of coffee. While working in a speciality coffee chain, I continuously improved my skills, passed the Master Barista exam, and took part in the Brewers Cup championship.

Since 2017, I have been an active member of the sustainability community: I have led educational sessions for more than 2,000 people and 20 companies, and consulted businesses on sustainability matters. In KOMMON activities, we strive to follow sustainability principles and preserve natural resources.

KOMMON is a natural continuation of my professional experience and personal strengths. Working in diplomacy and communications, I have always been among people: different cultures, perspectives, and life experiences. A desire naturally emerged to create a space where they could meet and discover one another.

People need people. That is what KOMMON is about.

Our activities developed very organically, from what people need today. Yoga and meditation support better wellbeing, more movement, and a calmer nervous system. Coffee is one of the most universal rituals for bringing people together, naturally becoming the beginning of conversations and connections.

To KOMMON I bring more than five years of experience in marketing, sales, and partnership development. Through my work, I have learned to understand people’s needs, create value, and ensure a high-level experience.

I completed studies in German and Spanish Philology at Vilnius University and also studied in Germany. At the German Embassy, I worked as the Ambassador’s Adviser for Public Relations and Communications. This experience gave me a strong understanding of diplomacy, politics, and international relations. I also gained experience working with high-level events, international organizations, and business representatives.

The German language continues to play an important role in my life. I am a keynote speaker at the German-Baltic Future Foundation and a member of the Lithuanian DAAD Alumni Club. I believe the KOMMON community will be just as international as the environment I have been part of so far, and that alongside Lithuanian, English, German, French, Spanish, and other languages will be heard here.

Public speaking and moderation are an important part of my work. I host events, moderate discussions, and work with diverse audiences, from young people to the business community.

At KOMMON, I am responsible for partnerships, business relationship development, and event creation. My goal is to create experiences with clear value: experiences that connect people, strengthen relationships, and leave a lasting impact.

We create an open and warm Community,
where everyone is welcome.
